This painting by our father John W. Des Rochers, entitled "Struggle For Life", was donated to the York Regional Police Service in Tom's memory, on September 16th, 1999. The painting is a gift from John and Annette DesRochers in memory of the 18yrs that Tom was a member of the York Regional Police family. The painting hangs in Markham in the last division that Tom had worked out of.
This was always a favourite painting of Tom's, as well as of the rest of the family and has been on display at a number of locations. It hung at Tom's cottage on the shores of Georgian Bay from 1985 until its donation to the YRP Service.
